Wonderful news comes to us from Diamoral, an association of Senegalese immigrants that has been collaborating with Deltamed and the Veneto Orientale Land Reclamation Consortium for many years in the context of projects aimed at counteracting the salinization of agricultural land that afflicts Casamance, their region of origin. 

In this case, 60 families of residents in Veneto have formed a cooperative, called KARAMBENOR, which means LET’S HELP EACH OTHER, in order to build, precisely by helping each other, 60 homes in the city of Bignona, not unlike what Venetian emigrants did in their time, with the additional aspect of mutual aid and solidarity in the hope of maintaining those bonds of friendship and solidarity cemented here in Veneto even once they return to their homeland. 

Diamoral, with the letter reproduced here, informs the President of the Veneto Region of another very important aspect, that is the desire to call the new neighborhood that will be built VENETO CITY, as a tribute to our region that welcomed them and in which they have perfectly integrated.
